Step 1 – Go To Ancestry.com

Step 2 – Choose Which Method To Sign Up For An Account
Ancestry gives you a few options and ways to sign up for your free account. There are three different methods which include the following:
- Google – If you have a Google account, you can use your Google account to sign up for your Free Ancestry.com account. You will need to be able to have access to your Google account and password so that you can verify your account with Google and Ancestry.com.
- Apple – If you have an Apple account, you can also use your Apple account to sign up for your Free Ancestry.com account. You will also need to have access to your Apple account and Apple password to verify your account.
- Email – If you do not have a Google or Apple account, you can use any email you may have to sign up for a free Ancstry.com account. You will need to have an email so that you can use it to log in and set a password for you to use.
- Passwords that you set up for Ancestry.com should have the following:
- Your password must be at least 8 characters
- The password must contain at least 1 number.
- The password must contain at least 1 letter or special symbol.
- Passwords that you set up for Ancestry.com should have the following:
You must have one of these three types of characters to sign up for your free Ancestry.com account. If you do not have an account or share an email account with someone else, you can easily set up a new free Google Gmail account to use for your email to set up your free Ancestry.com account.
Ancestry.com Will Have You As A Registered Guest
When you get a free Ancestry.com account, they will register you as a guest. You are not a full Ancestry member, so you will have limited access to all functions Ancestry offers.
Even though you cannot access Ancestry, a free account gives you several functions. You can still do the following on a free ancestry account or an account without an ancestry membership,

- Messages other ancestry members.
- You are limited to your family tree and can be invited to view others.
- You will receive hints, but your hints are limited to those from accessible record collections.
When you are a fully paid Ancestry member, your membership will also include the following:
- Access all family trees, i.e., yours and other members with public family trees.
- All types of hints, but the hints can also vary according to your membership type.
- Additional records.
